It has officially begun everyone. The Chicago media is starting to question JM's job security. Phil Rogers has started what is going to be several articles in the next few weeks about Manuel's job. I agree with every point Phil made in his column and he brings up very valid points. JM is in trouble, especially if this team has a poor May. KW is not entirely happy with how JM has been conducting himself as you will read in the article. Could be an interesting next couple of weeks.

Jerry isn't a major league manager!!! Of course the media should be questioning his job security..He should be managing our Single A team, maybe his "Gandhi" ways would be in more use there, but for a "big" market team like we have here and especially this group we have, its preposterous for him to be even a coach on this team..
He either needs to resign, or the fans are gonna have to forcefully throw him into the unemployment line. Maybe then, he'll get the picture he's not wanted here anymore. :gulp:

An absolutely brilliant sumnation by Phil Rogers of everything that's wrong with Manager Gandhi and why he never should have been hired in the first place.

It's like Rogers took everything that many have been saying here at WSI for the past two plus years and condensed them into a storyline.

Tremendous job (not that Uncle Jerry cares, he's only worried about how much he has to pay a manager)

How is he not a major league manager? And how many people on this site just loved Phil Jackson when he was winning 6 championships with the Bulls? Same hands off style, same peaceful temperment.

I disagree. Jackson temperment and style were perfectly suited to a veteran team and was even more valuable in the last three championships when he had to manage all the egos. Manuel is manager for a young team that needs intensity. This is quite different. Sox need someone to light a fire under some of the players.

But Phil Jackson wasn't afraid to get ejected, and he did get ejected relatively frequently. He was into the game. Not Jerry.
