If Jon Garland loses tonight's game, he should be sent to the bullpen. I'd rather see Gary Glover starting than Garland at this point. The man does not know how to avoid the big inning.

Last night Dave Wills was talking openly about sending Garland to Charlotte.

I remember it doing Alex Fernandez some good -- that is, back in the day.

He passes the test, in a game we needed, he was doing well

And to bring up something someone has mentioned, it was the second night game he has pitched. His only other good performance was in his other night game.

Maybe Jon is like me, hates to wake up in the morning. He's more effective with more sleep.

Not only did Jon pitch well, he also stuck up for Magglio by drilling Mientkiewicz and getting thrown out, which will earn him points with all his teammates. Nice win-- now Esteban needs to go to 5-0.

Congratulations to Gar-boy on his 1st win of the season.

He shouldn't have gotten thrown out. Anyone who hits Mienkiewhateverthehell with a pitch deserves the nobel peace prize. as contradictory as that sounded.

I've always like Jon, but now I have a new respect. You have to stand up for your teammates. Same went for Parque in 2000 against the Tigers.

I heard Bill Melton say that Garland hit Eyechart in the back. It looked to me that Garland hit Eyechart in the arse.

Is it just me, or does "Eyechart" look like he was a bit scared here, after getting plunked? :D:

I thought he was going to start crying. It looks like he wet his pants in that picture.

Garland had exactly the game he needed and a little more by plunking Doug Miencavef***.

Great job :jon you saved urself on the rotation for a while!
