from the ESPN recap of the game:
His 11 strikeouts were the most by a White Sox pitcher since James Baldwin fanned 11 against Milwaukee in July 2000. ...

Here's hoping Bartolo can put that # to shame sometime this season.

I don't think it's that big of a surprise. We haven't had a strikeout pitcher in a long time. Buehrle's not, Garland's not, Wright may turn out to be one. I'm still skeptical about Loazia, and hopefully Colon can rack up 200 Ks this year.

Colon and Wright are both power pitchers who will strikeout a lot of batters. I think Loaiza was just on today. He doesn't seem like much of a power guy. The movement on his fastball reminds me of Prior. Of course Loaiza has it when he's old and Prior is way younger and all ready there. Maybe it's just me.....
