Yahoo! My only class was cancelled today, so I can take play-by-play for any who need it.

Something wrong with my Java applet here at work. You'll see me in the chat at home, but at work, forget it. Plus, my connection at home is like 10x better than at work. Part of that is because when you have highspeed like DSL, it is your own private pipe to the Internet. At work, you're on this LAN shared by thousands of people slowing it down with Java chats  :D:

This is what we've been waiting for. A complete onslaught. The game is far from over, but I sure do like sitting on a 8-0 lead!

:gulp:

I can't access the chat from work (LAN) or from home (56K dialup.) What's the deal?

Does the university have a firewall? I know that will block access to the chat.

It could be a Java problem too.

West gave us lessons on chat problems here. (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=17496&s=&perpage=15&pagenumber=1&display=show)

Most impressive part(s) (IMHO), aside from Loaiza's 11 Ks, was that each Royal struck out at least once in the game, each Sox pitcher had at least 1 K, only 3 BBs total for the pitchers. Let's just hope we can keep this up. Only if we keep Koch out of it (no Koch tag??)

You might have issues with your Java Virtual Machine on your PC. What OS are you running. Windows 98? 2000? XP?

Firewalls won't block a chat. Usually java-based chat problems where it doesn't load are software issues.
