SHOULD Armando Rios be our starting CF?

HE'S played pretty solid much better then Rowand

The last few nights have been enough for me to see that Rowand is the far superior defensive CF'er and Rios is the far superior offensive CF'er. What's more important? Not sure of the answer to that.

Put Rios in left and Rowand in center. I'm done with the Carlos Lee experiment. What exactly does he bring to the table?

I refuse to vote in a poll that has Willie Harris as the only minor league option. Harris sucks. If he could hit, he would be an option, but currently I would rather bring back Julio Ramirez than play Harris. At least Ramirez was a stud defensively.

Redus was one ugly dude. He wasn't as ugly as Ron Karkovice, but he was still pretty ugly.

For the time being, I'd say they should split time, depending on who is playing better and what the match up is. In a few months, though, here's who I'm hoping is ready to patrol CF:

What they really need to find is someone to man the two-hole in the lineup - how many times is Valentin going to pop up with Jimenez in scoring position before they realize HE'S NOT A #2 HITTER?

*exhales* Now I feel better. Anyway, I wouldn't mind seeing a Rowand/Rios platoon in center, although you guys should be warned that Rios is a very streaky hitter, and his bat will get cold.

I just hope that Borchard will be ready soon.

Whatever happend to giving Rowand a shot at being the full time starter? So he has a few bad games that well we gave him a shot he's done. I think thats stupid we gave Julio a better shot than that and Florida could have told us he coudnt hit.

Rowand has proven repeatedly that he's not starting center field material on a good MLB team. I haven't seen enough of Rios to make an assessment yet, but I would doubt he is, either.
