View Full Version : so no one mentioned Sham-ME's 500th and the Flubs' "heartbreaking" 10-9 loss?

But that 500th home run of Sosa is going to completely overshadow our Opening Day victory over the Motor City Kitties. You know that the morning papers will have Sosa plastered all over the sports section with us buried on some back page.

Anyone remember when Al Gore called him "Sammy Sooser"? Every time I hear that freaks name I call him "Sooser" in my head.

There goes my prediction that Sammy would hold back so he'd get the 500th HR at Wrigley.
500th HR and a Cub loss. How fitting.

I thought Sosa would wait, too.
But, honestly, could we really expect anything else besides Sham-Me's 500th in a Cubs loss? Not if you've been following baseball for the last 5 years.

It is fitting that his 500th came in a Cub loss. Overall during his Cub career, Sosa has hit a ton of home runs and the Cubs have had a ton of losses. But now that this phony has his milestone, can we all just get on with our lives now? Also, I know this is too much to ask, but can that stupid homer hop go away?

Prediction: Sammy Sosa will never reach the 600 homerun mark.

He was introducing "Mike McGwire" and "Sammy Sooser" in some speech he gave a few years ago. If Al Gore said the same thing, I never heard him do that.
