Very good article on Maggs. I read it when the TSN arrived in my mail box.

Shucks though, I liked having the best kept secret in the league.

Maggs won't get his much overdue respect until the Sox get to October. Heck, most people (i.e. idiot Cub fans, media) in our own town of Chicago would pick Sosa over Magglio so how can we expect the national media to give him his due? The guy is so underrated that it is sickening. Johnny Damon and Robert Fick are All Stars last year but Magglio isn't. If he wore Yankee pinstripes he would be mentioned as one of the best in the game. Until we get far into October he will be our secret South Side weapon.

I hope the Sox get back to the playoffs soon because I fear if we don't, Maggs might leave for a more high profile team. He may be humble but he is only human. You can only get overlooked for so long before it gets to you.

I'll go a step further...World Series MVP. That would be great! I can't wait until Monday!
