Mario Valenzuela

Just like last spring, sounds like Mario Valenzuela is killing the ball again this year. He seems like someone who deserves a chance at the MLB level sooner rather than later. IIRC, he's in his mid-20s but has hit at every level. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a roster spot for him at this time. But he may be valuable in a trade or perhaps could make a trade of C. Lee or P. Konerko for pitching (or Brian Giles) a possibility.

Unfortunately for Valenzuela, he doesn't project to be more than a decent platoon corner outfielder with some pop. There are worse hitters with everyday jobs, but he really doesn't hold a tremendous amount of value.

He'll end up being a great rule 5 draft pick for someone eventually.
