By some miracle of the grace of God, the two major dailies deviated from their "all Frank all the time" negative Sox coverage today and have nice feature stories about Mágglio Ordóńez. For those of you who may have forgotten in the midst of "all Frank all the time," he is our right fielder. And a pretty good one, too.

From the Chicago Sun-Times: "Ordonez serves notice" (http://www.suntimes.com/output/sports/cst-spt-sox24.html)

From the Chicago Tribune: "Ego not Maggs' mantra" (http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/whitesox/cs-030223morrissey,1,2676965.column?coll=cs%2Dwhiteso x%2Dutility)

That Trib article was for you Viva.

I even heard a sound bite of Maggs speaking on the radio today.

There was also speculation of a MVP in his future.

I agree with Boers (assuming thats what you were talking about).

Maggs certainly had MVP numbers last year so if he does it again this year and the Sox win, theres no reason he shouldn't have a very good shot at the MVP.
