why does it say "last page" on that long thread? can threads only go 5 pages?

No, there is no limit on pages. I know of one board that has a 20,000 page thread. It only shows so many on the forum view. Last page means current last page in the thread.

LOL, it's actually totally worthless. Each post is one word. It's a word association string. I think it's like two years old and people keep adding words. But, I have seen some other massive threads that actually had some subject matter.

I'm not sure. It was on an anime board. I didn't read it, but I know they were talking about some sort of Japanese cartoon stuff.
