The article really wasn't as bad as the first paragraph suggests.


It basically indicated that the batting order is not determined yet, but that the position players are pretty well decided. Manuel also said something about this back during Soxfest on the Friday night Q & A.

I would expect that Crede, Valentin, and Jimenez will be pretty much locked into 3B, SS, and 2B for most of the season. Although, with big JM, I guess we'll never know until the players actually take the field.

I thought it was funny that they actually used the word "tinker" in the article, though.
