Here is what Manuel had to say about Colon's weight today. It's in Wednesday's tribune.......

Pitchers and catchers had their physicals Monday, but Manuel would like to keep Bartolo Colon's weight a secret.

"I checked it but I can't recollect the exact number," he said. "It's on my desk."

So can you pass it on?

"That's hidden information," Manuel replied. "I'll tell you how much I weigh. I'm 6 feet, 175."

Maybe he's 280 or somehting. I wonder if it will affect his pitching?

From some of the footage they showed from spring training, Colon looks to be in pretty good shape. He's no Twiggy, but he looks to be at a reasonable weight. I think part of the reason everyone thinks he looks heavy is because he has a large face/head (or at least it looks like it to me).

Shouldn't that read "tinkering" with the press? :D:

Well, he's sure no Rich Garces. All that likening him to "El Guapo" was just BoSox sour grapes.

He looks like he's looked the last few years.
