Anyone know where I can find some nice high resolution images of the winged Sox logo from the 40's/50's/60's. This was the coolest logo we ever had. I would love to see this logo brought back in some way, maybe in the "new" park.

Hey, welcome aboard. :D:

Just curious, is it the same one that is all over this site (see the banners at the top of the Clubhouse page)?

Don't know if this will help, but it's near the end of the page.

No, the one on this site and the ones on the mlb logo site are "cartoonish" Ebay has a lot of old pennants with the logo I'm talking about. Check out ebay and search for "white sox pennant"

Maybe I'm missing the incredibly obvious, but how is the logo on that pennant any less "cartoonish" than the flying sock logo all over this website? I don't see a difference.

What gets me though is looking at that pennant. Notice the Chicago city skyline on top? I guess I'm too used to all the skyscrapers that now dominate it, none of which existed back in '59.

Does anyone else think that the Sox' 75-90 logo was the worst ever for the sox if not the AL?

There's no way anything the Sox have had for a logo could be worse than Chief Wahoo, and I don't mean because of any offensive Indian theme. It's just ugly.

ARE YOU KIDDING!?!?!?!?!?!? That Sox jersey was awesome. Of course, I was in my early teens when that outfit came out. I think the modern logo/uniform is the best in the bigs, but the Sox uni's from the early to late 80's deserve a lot more respect. The "retro" style is coming back...check out the popular sporting goods/merchandise stores.
