Perhaps before he sounds off on the Sox, he might want to tell his own players to shut up, particulary Doug Mientkiewicz, who said the following and my response to it: (I pulled this from the Chicago Bears MB where I also post at)

He said the following:

<< ''We have 25 players on the club who get along and play as a team,'' first baseman Doug Mientkiewicz told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. ''The White Sox have proved that they don't have what we have. >>

You're right, Dougie. We only added: A 20 game winner (Colon), a deep and quite possibly dominant bullpen (White, Gordon, Koch) extra depth in the rotation with the addition of 2 extra arms (Loiaza, Heredia), LH power on the bench (Daubach) & insurance in the OF (Rios), all courtesy of this offseason. Don't forget what was already here: A 19 game winner, 2 promising arms in the rotation, great setup men in the 'pen, & probably the most dominant offense in the game. That's what we did during our offseason. And you:

Signed Chris Gomez (backup IF), released David Ortiz (probably the biggest Sox killer on the team, next to Corey Koskie) & Mike Jackson (key to the 'pen, putting more pressure on Fiore & Hawkins, & for that matter, Guardado).

Yep, Dougie, you're absolutely right. We don't have what you have. We simply plugged our gaps, & it's all systems go, while you are praying that the Metrodome bails you out of some more jams. Luck can be many a thing, but it also tends to do something nobody likes. It tends to run out. So to you, Dougie, or should I say, Cinderella: The clock has struck midnight, the fantasy is over, & it's time for you to wake up to reality. Enjoy October from the private comforts of home, 'cause that's where the Twins will be come October while the Sox march on to the World Series. I'm outta here! Ciao!

wow.

I can honestly tell you that Dougie is shaking in his boots, and his pants are wet. Luckily he has cable and can watch the Sox in their World Series march this year...

I know you're new, but this has been hashed over a bit, here (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17156) , and here. (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16967) Enjoy!

That's good since any Twins fans with Time Warner cable won't be able to watch the beloved Twins this season. *****!!!!

No Dish, no Twins (http://www.startribune.com/stories/389/3615421.html)

The Twins own network? (http://www.startribune.com/stories/459/3624398.html)

The only Sox lip has been from Koch, and he's sealed it lately.

Believe it, Dougie's crack will be front and center in Arizona.

Maybe this should have it's own thread? Voodoo?

... Twins fans with Time Warner cable...

Touche'. I'm a disgruntled Fox Sports Net victim. There's still 2 months left before baseball season, so I'm hopeful a settlement will happen before then. Since Time Warner only serves Minneapolis, the St. Paul people still get their programming. But I'm starting to get disgruntled enough that I'm seriously considering one of the dish networks. Then again, I haven't seen one minute of "The Best Damn Sports Show Ever", or commercials for it in over two months. That's been wonderful.

Juan, the Twins play their spring training in Ft. Meyers, Florida.

The Twins' Victory Network is primed to go online next year (2004). If the judge would've allowed the Twins to break their contract with FSN, they'd be on this summer. FSN wants to charge us Time Warner Cablers for Twins games next summer (2004) even though there is NO WAY they will carry the games. It's a ridiculous situation.

ma-gaga,
I know where the Minnys train. The SOX are in Arizona, and that's where Dougie's lip-off will be noticed. It should be on the bulletin board in red.
