Brook Fordyce - Number 8
Charles Johnson - Number 8
Now, Miguel Olivo - Number 8
I don't like what history tells me...
Speaking of uniforms, and history, here's a cool link (http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/cws/history/cws_history_logo.jsp) I found that shows the White Sox uniforms throughout their franchise.

Does this mean Rowand likes Rolling Rock? Can Rolling Rock Rowand be his nickname?

You'll have to discuss that with the "Crash" Camp. Or, the ones that like "Dirtbike."

Actually fordyce wasn't too bad of a catcher when he was on the White Sox and Johnson was pretty good for the 135 ABs he had for the White Sox.

Right, but they're both long gone now, aren't they?

Someone remind me, was Garland 20 or 19 when he pitched in his first major league game.

Thats interesting seeing all of the new uniform numbers....
pretty cool. I actually knew at SoxFest that Rowand was
going to use "33". I forgot to ask him when I saw him, but
over drinks in the bar after SoxFest, (like how I slipped that in
there? heh heh) I asked Joltin' Joe Borchard what # Rowand
was going with and he told me. We got a lot of info at
soxfest that weekend. I wonder why Garland went to # 20 ??
Guess it mustve been to change his luck this year.
thanks for the info

Isnt it funny how certain names go with certain numbers??
I see here that Jon Adkins is going with 37 now.
That number fits well with him....

I think Garland was 19 for his debut, but maybe he got his first win when he was 20 or something.

Sorry, strike that Garland was 20 when he made his ML debut, that's probably why.

So at least we determined 8 isn't a completely cursed number. I hope.
