The Twins signed Jacque Jones to a two year 7.1 million dollar deal.

They settled all four of their arbitration cases...so much for the talk about them breaking up because the owner wouldn't pay his guys!

They aren't going anyplace until the new labor agreement expires.

Put up or shut up time for the Sox!

Career year. The determinative factor in the Twins repeating is going to be their starting pitching.

I agree....I think Jones comes back down to earth....his 2nd half was worse than his 1st if i recall

Jones had a slighty better 2nd half:

Pre-Allstar -
BA = .284
HR = 13
RBI = 55
OPS = .802
BB = 22
SO = 74

Post-Allstar -
BA = .322
HR = 14
RBI = 30
OPS = .925
BB = 15
SO = 55

Well I stand correctly....maybe I am thinking he started off really fast, but then nosedived a bit in the first half....still needs to do a better job of taking a walk

He did have a very good playoff run. Maybe that's what you're thinking of Rich.

BA = .175
HR = 0
RBI = 3
OPS = .484
BB = 1
SO = 12
