View Full Version : Well That Sucked...

But the good news is we are done with Seattle for the year. Texas at home starting Tuesday, and they either are improving (probably somewhat) or Cleveland really does have major problems (definitely).

Minnesota has already lost the series to TAMPA FREAKIN' BAY and will get swept if they do not wake up tonight. Their season is probably going to end like everyone thought ours would last year. Their schedule is very weak, but the loss of Radke was a killer. He was their heart and soul... They may still win the division, because of the easiness of their schedule and the Sox inability to win anything resembling a big game...

Cleveland is 4-7 over their last 11 games and their schedule just became a total nightmare for the next 4 weeks, with the only "easy" games being Annaheim, Minnesota and us. Their pitching is in big time trouble, and they will be lucky, IMO to come out of this stretch more than 10 games over .500 and 5 games over isn't out of the question.

So, where does that leave the Sox... Well, after Texas and Oakland this week, the Sox will play 10 games against KC, TB and Detroit. This is where they absolutely MUST get hot if they are going to in anyway make a run at things. Fortunately we get Texas and Oakland in Chicago, which may not phase the A's, but will be helpful for our boys, and should help against Texas who is almost .500 at home, but 12 games under on the road.

Could have been 6.5 or less, but the past is for losers and cowards and at least the Sox played the M's tough and had solid pitching poerformances from the young pitchers (Garland, Ginter and Glover against Seattle and we lost one game by one run and another when Foulke came unglued). So this is the time to put up or shut up... September is going to be real tough anyway you slice it. If the Sox want it badly enough they can be in the thick of things, but there is no more time for half-assed efforts. Start getting ready for living or getting ready for dying...

One weak ass division is their for the taking... LET'S GO SOX!!!
