It's been asked how many more games will Sox fans attend, But more importantly how many more games will the Sox win?

Colon (20) - Biddle (8)= 12 + less work on bullpen (4) + less pressure on all starters (4)= 20. It's all a very simple equation. 101 wins looks very nice.

Let's break this question down-

How many wins are all the starters good for?

That equals 76 wins by starters. I figure you can count on 15-20 wins from the relievers, especially with Koch as the closer. I think we can look for a 94-96 game winning season. You might think that that's optimistic, but I dont think so. Remember we play Cleveland, Detroit and Kansas City, what, 60 some times? Not to mention the Cubs for 6 games :D: PLUS, we have addtion by subtraction with the loss of Ritchie. I will make my pre-season prediction right now-

95 wins

Let's make this the official prediction thread...

I wonder if season ticket sales will go up, All Star Tickets and playoff tickets if the Sox make it.

162-0 now that we got rid of Liefer hehe j/k I'd say 94-98 wins, depending on injuries.

Let's be a little more realistic. Their window of wins will be 88-95. And a 44% chance of the playoffs.

I've got to agree with ssang... Yes, I'm happy we got Colon, but the Sox still are missing a few pieces to being a true pennant contender. I think 90 wins is realistic, as well as a run at the Central title.

will there be an official season prediction thing like the last few years...ie wins, picther with the most wins, highest BA, etc...

We still have some missing pieces, however that being said if we can take care of business against our weak division (excluding the twins) we should come close to 95 wins. If things break right and the back of the rotation stands up against the AL's back of the rotation guys we might see something real special on the South Side.
