With this in mind and please set aside all ethical debates for sake of this arguement, what players would you clone in order to have the greatest Baseball team ever, or what Sox would clone to have the greatest Sox baseball team ever.
P: Pedro M
P: Bob Gibson
P: Sandy Kofax
P: Billy Priece
P: Randy Johnson
C: Carlton Fisk
1B: Frank Thomas
2B: Nomar Garciaparra (I know he is a SS by trade, but I would put him at 2B for this team)
3B: Mike Schmitt
SS: A Rod
LF: Barry Bonds
CF: Willie Mays
RF: Mickey Mantle

As much as he has been bashed lately I would still clone Junior. Those years from ages 20-30 were some of the best from any player in any era. He also played great center field defense.

No Babe Ruth? Amazing...You'd need two clones, one to play RF and one to pitch.

I thought about him, but OF I listed would play better D and produce very comparable numbers.

I mean why only clone one of everybody.
RF Mays
CF Mays
LF Mays
You get the idea - otherwise it is just a greatest player of all time list...
Personally I want to see an NBA team of 3 MJ's and 2 Chamberlains...

I'd clone 9 Sammy Sosas, just so I could watch all 9 collide when they all sprinted out to right field at the same time every inning. :D:

Better watch what you wish for. Current White Sox management likely would seek different players. I can already picture the cloned ballclub KW and crew would put together.
1B: Lamar Johnson
2B: Alan Bannister
SS: Harry Chappas
3B: Rich McKinney
LF: Thad Bosley
CF: Darryl Boston
RF: Claudell Washington
C: Bill Nahorodny
P: Francisco Barrios
Or worse yet, eight copies of Royce Clayton, with a 2002 version of Todd Ritchie to pitch.
Sorry to bring up such bad memories, but earlier today I was thinking of some of the mediocrities I have seen who have had the chance to call themselves Major Leagues due to the White Sox.

Where's KW?
:KW
"Hey, when you look this good, you want all the ladies to see you in form fitting baseball duds. I'd put myself in LF, RF and CF, but I'd only pay my clones minimum wage and split the extra money with JR."
:reinsy
"That would be a 80/20 split in my favor. Right, flunky?"
:KW
"Right you are your JR. I'm just happy to have a job working for such a benevolent generous boss. (under his breath: Got to get me one of those clones just to take over the boot licking duties.)"
