Count me among those "old enough" to have seen him play. Stuart was one of baseball's many characters, of which there are too few in todays cookie cutter age. Everybody has to have a "spin" these days, not just politicians. I loved the comment by Danny Murtaugh in your link. Danny was usually a reserved guy, but he had a wry sense of humor.
