Finished the AFL with a miniscule .81 ERA and was the winning pitcher in the deciding game. Looking forward to following his progress next season.

Dave Sanders finished with an ERA of .075,probably the reason both of them were added to the 40 man roster.Granted Stewart pitched ten more innings than Sanders did,he also pitched a few more K's,so both of them are worth watching.

You can add the fact that Gary Majewski also pitched well in the AFL,going 3-0 with a 1.96 ERA.

Bring on the next wave or arms.....any chance these guys showings are enough to make them viable part of trade offers(and not Todd Ritchie deals either)? I'm in favor of keeping some of the young arms(especially Honel and Rausch), but there is a school of thought that there is no such thing as a pitvhing prosepct for a reason

Majewski was already traded away once, not sure how many times you can trade the same player.

I already saw the article about Josh Stewart being the winning pitcher for the Peoria Javalinas Arizona Fall League Championship.

He was killin' the opposing Scottsdale Scorpions with his awesome change-up.

This all sounds so great....maybe we don't need another starting pitcher.

With Kenny Williams....No Moves is Good Moves!!!!

problem is that as well as stewart has pitched in the afl, he's not considering to be a great prospect because he's 23 and his stuff is somewhat mediocre. the rest of the guys are relievers and while they have a pretty good chance of contributing for us at the major league level in the future, there really aren't many big relief prospects in basebal since all really good pitching prospects traditionally work as starters in the minors even if their eventual destination is the bullpen.
