FYI they told him a long term deal out of the question, per Bruce Levine.

Now how stupid is that? I dont care how much they promoted Choy, there arent too many prospects that can put up numbers and play the defense Thome will play for the next 4-5 years. Good thing he wont end up there. I'll have to hear about the 7th coming of Christ.
