It is clear as daylight that Jim Thome kills us on a more consistant basis than any other Cleveland player. The question is: Why do we keep letting him beat us? Why do we constantly serve up the grapefruits to him? I'm all for our pitchers to be aggresive but there is a fine line between aggresive and stupid. More often than not this year, we've been stupid when it comes to players with a rep for beating the tar out of any pitcher with the S-O-X on his hat. Koskie from the Twinks instantly comes to mind. Thome is hotter than anyone in the league right now. With Juan Gone and Burks out of the Cleveland lineup it makes even more sense to pitch around Thome. Here's hoping that Manuel and Nossek recognize Thome as the Sox killer and be extrememly cautious in their choice of pitch call.
