Go to espn.com and check the poll...

"Which Cubs occurance will take place in the next four years under Dusty Baker?"

-Make playoffs 52.0%
-Not make playoffs 36.4%
-Win World Series 6.4%
-Reach World Series 5.0%

I'd say making the playoffs in a semi weak division is almost guaranteed.

Look at it this way, you've got a three time Manager Of The Year and a team payroll about 75-80 million dollars.

(Think what the Sox could do in their division with that high of a payroll...)

I don't even think they will make the playoffs. The Cards have the best chance of winning that division, and the wild card is gonna be won by an NL west team (S.F., L.A., Arizona). Hell, the Astros might even bounce back and take the NL Central. when you've only won 65 games, in the past season, and all you do is switch managers, chances are, you won't get to that 90-95 win range.

good luck to baker... that team ain't going nowhere unless they get a few more key players.
