I've always thought the Padres GM was a smart guy, but first he trades Jimenez to us for almost nothing, and now this...!!!

We thought it was bad having Royce bat 9th for us. I can't imagine him in the #8 spot in front of a pitcher. He's a bad "choice" for any team, but especially a National League team. I hope we get to play the Padres in interleague.

Geeeeeez, from Deivi Cruz to Royce Clayton! As hard as it may be to believe, it could actually be an upgrade for SD. These were easily the worst 2 "everyday" shortstops in baseball last season.

Wow. What's more amazing is the fact that there was more than one team interested in him!

The Sox do play San Diego. The Padres come to Comiskey in mid-June. If Clayton signs with them, WSI should do some sort of write-up about the "Return of The Choice."

Yeah but with Royce you get the added bonus of having him suck the life out of the clubhouse.....it'd be one thing if he was Cal Ripken or Barry Bonds out there...but hell he doesnt hit well enough to have played in the 1950s, yet alone today

Towers just got Mike Rivera from the Tigers for Eugene Kingsale. Nice little pick-up. I'm beginning to doubt the accolades of Dombrowski.
