Maggs finished 8th with 59 points, ShamME finished 9th with 63 points. Pretty much a draw (let the debates continue!).

Of course, a big difference with regard to the Pepsi commercials is that Mágglio doesn't try to steal teammates' bottles of Pepsi.

David Eckstein finishes ahead of Nomar? Re-diculous.

Actually not to be picky or anything but they ties with 24 votes each.

Yeah I noticed that later, Eckstein's name just came first. Either way it's ridiculous considering Garciaparra is a better defensive SS and a much much better hitter.

I can't believe Magglio got fewer votes than Thome. It seems almost impossible for a Sox to win the MVP award. Three players is all we have: Nellie, Dick, and Frank.

Damn west coast bias. Two MVP for the bay area. Those guys don't get out of work early enough to watch baseball on the East coast.

Well unless they were going to clone Ruth and bring him back to play for the Braves, I don't think any bias had anything to do with Bonds winning it(if anything he had to overcome bias as sportswriters like to equate people who make their jobs easier with people who are useful on the field).....and Tejada was a solid choice as well, i would have picked Arod, but hes not exactly Mr East Coast either
