I'm suprised they would go with a manager that young. 34 is damn young for an MLB manager. I can't help but wonder if some of the veterans on that team wouldn't respect him. Looks like Larry Dolan is taking the Reinsdorf method of "fiscal responsibility" in hiring a manager.

All depends on the manager...in the NHL the Hurricanes have Maurice as coach and I think he started at like 32...and they went to the Finals last year without the talent for the finals....so it all depends on the guy

True. I have seen it in the NHL but for a guy to manage in MLB under 40 let alone under 35 is pretty rare.
