Who thinks he will improve on his numbers from this season? Not one half or the other, but over the course of the whole campaign?

Because he improved his plate discipline so much last year (at least over the last half of the season), I think he may be ready to break out. If Carlos lays off of pitches out of the strike zone, I wouldn't be surprised if he has a .285 avg/.360 OBP/30 HR/100 RBI season next year. But I also wouldn't be shocked if he continued with the same numbers he's put up in each of the last few years (.265 avg/.330 OBP/24 HRs/80 RBIs).

Agreed. In fact, anything less than that might be considered a disappointment at this stage of his career.

If he has a true "break out" year, his numbers should be even better -- maybe .320 AVE/.400 OBP/35 HR/110 RBI.

I just need to attend more Sox games. Both games I attended in 2002, Carlos hit a grandslam.

Vs the cubs at Wrigley
Vs the twins at Comiskey

(Believe me when I say that If I could I would)
