View Full Version : Why did they take out Garland?

I come home from a wonderful night out on the town fully expecting to see us down 10, and wow we're actually up 3-1! Then, 10 minutes and our worst pitcher later and it's 6-3 Seattle. Why did they take Garland out after only 5 innings and 1 run? Did he throw 120 pitches or something? And why in God's name was Embree out there? This is so damn frustrating watching Cle. and Minn. tread water and we can't gain any ground!

Garland had thrown 100 pitches. That's enough for a kid. But, we didn't need to forfeit by putting Embree in.

Garland's pitch count was pretty high. He walked like 6 guys and really had to pitch out of a few jams.

he wasn't cruising at all.
