The first time I went to Soxfest was in Feb of 93. I think this was the first one they had. I stood in line to get Frank Thomas's autograph on a 92 Topps baseball card. I waited for a long time but when I got there he took the card, singed it and I said to him "I think your going to have a big year in '93". He look up and smiled and said "All right!". He won the MVP that year and the Sox won the West division.
I still have the card, in fact it's on my desk at work. It's next to a Comiskey Park Inaugral year baseball.

My biggest memory: Riding in the same elevator -- twice -- with Mágglio Ordóńez, Carlos Lee, and their wives.

I've never been but I'm hoping I can go this year too. I don't think it's going to happen though...the trouble with having to depend on parents.
