I'm going 100 percent with my heart. Athletics all the way!

Remember back in the late-90's when Schueler and Manuel used to compare the young Sox' progress with the young A's? Those days are over, aren't they?

Oakland is the team that proves just how big a liar Jerry Reinsdorf truly is.

Oh man, that would be so sweet if you are right. In addition to being a huge anti-Yanks man (and who isn't?), I would dearly love to see the Braves wreak revenge on the Yanks after 1999 and 1996.

Yeah, don't count on it though. My predictions never end up being close.

New York over Anaheim in four games
Oakland over Minnesota in four games

New York beats Oakland in six games

San Francisco beats Atlanta in five games
St. Louis beats Arizona in five games
San Francisco over St. Louis in seven games

But in the end, it will be a Yankee type of year. Barry Bonds will get his first World Series, only to choke against Yankee pitching. Sorry, but anyone who thinks the Yanks aren't going to get their act together in October and win the whole thing is dreaming. 2001's Yankee loss was a once in a lifetime moment.

Kenny Williams, in the sojurn for that #1 starter, infield glove man and left handed bat, offers the Joes - borchard and crede - to the Mets for Steve Trachsel, Rey Ordonez, and Jeremy Burnintz. The Mets object, citing the compelling fact that the Sox would be getting 3 players and the Mets only two. Kenny, afraid that the Mets might back out, throw in the Jons, as in Garland and Rausch, citing "The future is now".

Uh, wrong prediction?

Well, Angels in 5; Twins in 4. Twins in 6.

Giants in 5; Snakes in 5. Giants in 7.

Giants over Twins in WS.

Interesting that at least so far, nobody has picked Arizona to repeat as NL champs. Schilling and Randy Johnson were better this year than they were last year, and they weren't too bad last year. In a short series, the best pitching usually prevails, and those guys are the best.

It would be so awesome seeing Bumble Bud hand over that trophey to the Twins

Now that WOULD be special- seeing that ding-dong hand the WS
trophy to a team that he wanted to contract. The state that he
tried to blackmail celebrates a world championship. And this
after he stopped an All-Star game in his hometown. It wouldn't
get any better than that. Still, I have to root for Anaheim. They
are the White Sox of SoCal. I'm still numb over that Dave
Henderson home run.

I want the cardinals to win though! Quoth Chip Caray on August 17 or so with the Cubs behind the Cards by about 13 games-"The Cardinals have already lost today, so this game could be big for the Cubs."

Uh...is it really a "prediction" after 2 games in most of the series have already been played? I noticed both of today's predictors chose the Cardinals over the World Champs...hmm, wonder why.
