Another Chicago Cubs manager has "bit the dust." Bruce Kimm will be fired after the completion of today's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Boy, I thought Kimm was supposed to turn that team around. LOL!

What a joke. Did Cubs management drape the Wrigley dugout in black bunting for the occasion?

MacFail could screw up a one-car funeral.

I'd have 500 now if it weren't for him.

IIRC Mike North and many Cub fans were trumpeting Kimm as a great manager when early on in Kimm's reign the Cubs won a few games.

Can you say Dusty Baker?

Yeah, but I don't think Dusty Baker can say, "Chicago Cubs."

That was typical.

It's definitely Kimm's fault. With one MVP player and 3 Cy Young quality pitchers, all of whom are surrounded by top flight major league talent, it must be the manager.

Except of course when he was GM of the 1987 World Champion Minnesota Twins!

One thing that would be interesting about having Wally Backman coach or manage the White Sox- he was born on September 22,
1959, the night the Sox clinched their last AL pennant.
