Smoltz has 53, with a maximum of 4 games left. I say 4 games because if the Dodgers and Giants are a half game apart, or the Giants and the D-Backs are a half game apart, the Braves will play the Giants in a 4th game to decide who goes to the playoffs.

So another Sox record is safe.
