over .500 and 20 wins for MB.

They made it tough on themselves to finish over .500 by losing to KC last night. Even with the win tonight, they need to go 5-3 for the remaining games, all against the Twins and Bosox. Not an easy task. They are playing well now, so I'm optimistic.

I'm optimistic too. We have more to play for than both of those teams, and should enjoy the opportunity to play teams with gaudy records like they have. And we are playing pretty well - particularly pitching.

It would also be nice to see Garland & Wright finish up with 14 wins each. They both went through some pretty rough stretches this season, and ended up becoming 2 decent starters by the end of the year.

Hopefully their development picks up next year where it is ending this year...

The only thing to play for at this point is the development of the youngsters....if that meant losing every game for the rest of the year to ensure that LTP and Olivio were regular contributors next year then I cheer for losses.... 20 wins and especially .500 mean little
