At the beginning of the year, Kenny Williams essentially determined that Royce Clayton was a better player than Joe Crede. Williams really never thought Crede was "ready" until forced when we were out of the race and had dumped some vets.

Williams clearly didn't know what he had in Fogg and maybe even Wells. He couldn't see that Ritchie was not a dominant pitcher. When we traded Howry to the Bosox, Kenny was quoted as saying that his scouts like the players we got in return (what about you, Kenny?).

His complete futility at horsetrading is bad enough. But it is becoming apparent that he can't tell the differece between a major leaguer and someone who belongs in an adult church softball league.

kw was quoted in saying that he didn't want royce here, but he underestimated his opinion on him. that is why he is here. so what do you do with his salary, bench him.

Is there supposed to be a question mark after the bench him ? Well either way it was a bad move....but the real telling thing was that KW refused to cut his loses until it was way too late....Everyone makes bad moves now and again, but its important to realize them and move past them.....Sitting Royce on the bench would have been helpful, or even flat out releasing him much earlier....Hes gets his money either way, so do whats best for the team
