At the beginning of the year, Kenny Williams essentially determined that Royce Clayton was a better player than Joe Crede. Williams really never thought Crede was "ready" until forced when we were out of the race and had dumped some vets.
Williams clearly didn't know what he had in Fogg and maybe even Wells. He couldn't see that Ritchie was not a dominant pitcher. When we traded Howry to the Bosox, Kenny was quoted as saying that his scouts like the players we got in return (what about you, Kenny?).
His complete futility at horsetrading is bad enough. But it is becoming apparent that he can't tell the differece between a major leaguer and someone who belongs in an adult church softball league.
