This is starting to seem like a trend - ever since the 2000 playoffs against the Mariners, the Sox can't get it done when there is pressure/expectations on them, but when it doesn't matter and no expectations, they exceed. I don't know if the blame lies at the manager's feet or if the players we have simply don't have the right make-up.
