Fine by me. I think we Americans already have more than enough opportunity to make ourselves into boorish asses with NBA players on Olympic "dream teams".
If baseball can be an Olympic sport, cricket ought to be, too. More people play it in more countries. But America needs another sport to beats its chest about, I suppose.

I liked watching the Pan Am games(qualifier for the olympics) when Canada beat the U.S. and Cuba in the round robin only to lose later, it did however make a bunch of 30yr old journeyman minor leaguers heros in Canada for a week, and of course made Stubby Clapp a household name. I agree on the dream team stuff though, Pro Boxers and untill not long ago figure skaters understood what amateur sport is, I remember when team Canada hockey was actually a national team, not a freakin' NHL all star game. Is was a place to be discovered, none of those kids conduct themselves the ways Fleury, Iverson ect. do that's for sure.
