The date August 26th was not a good one for the White Sox in the years 1991 and 1992.

August 26, 1991
White Sox are no-hit by KC's Bret Saberhagen.

August 26, 1992
White Sox are held to one hit by the Toronto Blue Jays.

I'm not sure what the team did in 1993 but I guess it must have been good since I don't remember it.

Hopefully, this won't be the August 27th Tribune's sports section headline. "White Sox Suffer Latest Bout of Anemia Against Another Pitcher They've Never Seen Before".

White Sox hitters beware. In 7 games, Mike Smith has hit 4 batters, not to mention walked 16. That might help to explain his 7.45 ERA.

This Smith guy was called up April 26, 2002, and has yet to win a game. Uh Oh! :o:

They were off in '93, off due to the strike in '94, blew a 9th-inning lead and lost at Toronto in '95, lost 2-1 to Brewers in '96, beat Jays 8-4 or something like that in '97, beat the Orioles in '98, lost to Devil Rays in '99, lost at Seattle in '00, and won 2-1 or 3-2 at Tampa Bay last season.

Lumbering 1B Zeke Bonura of the White Sox steals home with two outs in the 15th inning to beat the Yankees 9-8.

I guess the Sox weren't meant to win on this day! They weren't no hit, well except after the 3rd inning! :(:
