Thomas back in the 3 hole...........

That's gonna help. Why don't manuel ever try maggs 3 and konerko cleanup?

Manuel is sticking with Crede in the same spot every day and it is helping him. Rowand is no leadoff or 2 hitter. He's just screwing up Harris IMO. Between sitting him and moving him from 1st to last don't help.

Hmm. It could be worse...

Word from Hawk is that Maggs is hurt so he's out of the lineup.

I know Maggs needs a day off (and Manuel always gives days off to people who just went hitless to end their 10+ game hitting streak), but Liefer in RF? Well, I suppose there is really no choice, unless you stick Rowand in RF, Willie in CF, and Carlos in LF. Then 2B can be played by Graff. Tony isn't hurt is he? I haven't seen him in a while.

However, the above lineup and positioning would not qualify as good.

"Hey, I have good reasoning to put Lief in RF. Remember that game-saving, HR-robbing catch he made off of Cameron that day when Cameron nearly beat us single-handedly with 4 homers?"

Not bad for a guy who wasn't even supposed to be in the lineup. Lee originally had the day off, but Magglio Ordonez was a late scratch with a sore toe on his left foot.

I'd rather see Harris in the 9 hole than Royce or MJ, so let that subject die.
