"Real World" = Flubbie fans

I happened to be running down North Avenue last night, about 3 or 4 blocks from the "Real World" house in Wicker Park, when suddenly I see a TV crew coming down the sidewalk filming 2 girls, one black and one white. I forget which one, but one of them was wearing one of those cute Abercrombie & Fitch-type canvas Flubbie baseball hats. I had to jump off the sidewalk to "let them through," and I was too surprised to utter anything like "GO SOX" (though I should have).

But why am I not surprised that those "alternative" kids on "The Real World" would be Flubbie fans?

The Real World producers probably told them to wear a Cubs hat because they are in Chicago and everyone knows there is only one baseball team here (insert sarcasm here)
