I was looking at the latest draftees and I saw a third baseman named Josh Crede was drafted in the 48th round. Is he related to our current third baseman?

The 48th round pick was Anthony Manuel, the son of Jerry Manuel, are you sure you were looking at this years's draft?

Can you believe this? 48 rounds in a draft, and they start picking guys from their own family.

Why not make it 100 rounds and start drafting some potted plants, too.

LOL,for the record Anthony is unsigned and is leaning towards going to college instead of the minors.

For the record the Sox also drafted Tim Hummels brother Rick, and Josh Paul's brother Jeremey.

Talk about all in the family............

Have you forgotten about Schueler drafting his daughter the softball pitcher?

Before today's game, and probably still, you could've included another potted plant: Jeff Reefer.

Josh was drafted as a favor to Joe. He was in a bad accident as before his senior year (IIRC) and had a long recovery. However, he wanted to go to college and play ball doing so. The Sox drafted him to get interest up and his name out there. I never heard if it actually worked out (him signing for baseball with a school)

I once referred to Liefer as "Sweet Leaf" (after the Ozzy song) to a stoner buddy of mine and he though it was the funniest thing her had ever heard. Musta been some awful good stuff he was smoking that day.

Josh Crede is not Joe's brother. He is the mutant hybrid sone of Josh Paul and Joe Crede. Very ugly stuff that should not be spoken of.
