Is anyone else taking a trip down to Kansas City this weekend to watch the Sox on their 1st road trip of the season?

The wife and I are driving down Saturday morning and watching both Saturday and Sunday's games before driving back to South Dakota. It will be my first trip at Kaufman Stadium. It should be nice to see Danks and Sale both pitch.

Went last there last May for the first time. It's really a beautiful park, and has a ton of stuff going on within, on top of an awesome variety of food. It was about 35 degrees when I was there, and it was still a great time.

Check out the Power District if you're looking for some cool bars. They have a great setup where about 10 bars all share the same courtyard, and they usually have bands playing for free out there. Sugar Ray and the Dan Band were there when we were last year. Never thought I'd be able to say I was at a Sugar Ray concert....booze makes you do crazy things.

Enjoy!

I recommend Art Bryants Barbeque. Its down the block from The Negro Baseball League Hall of Fame/Museum.Both places are well worth your while.

Jack Stack's is another solid BBQ place. Gotta get the burnt ends.

Avoid cab rides if you can...the fares are outrageous.

One of the nicest parks I have visited.

The lower bowl seats are right on top of the field, no foul territory.

Rosedale and Okie Joes are the best.

I will say that KC is a cool ****ing town. I haven't been lucky enough to go to a game there yet, but they have some really great bars/restaurants

I stopped at Oklahoma Joe's last September on my way to Denver. I didn't love the brisket, but the ribs were pretty good. What stood out there as some of the best BBQ I have ever had was, perhaps oddly given what I think of KC BBQ, the pulled pork.
