Any chance we go after this guy? He's a little bit older at 28, but we still have a need at catcher and there aren't a whole lot of better options out there. Apparently from what I've found about him online, he's a power hitter with a strong throwing arm.

I was thinking the same thing. I could see the appeal for the Sox -- no need to part with a draft pick or a player and maybe the Sox have an upgrade at catcher.

It is a situation that bears watching.

Sounds pretty bad ass to have to be cleared by "asset control."

He's actually someone I figured we would be after months ago. If nothing else, his D and arm are supposedly very strong parts of his game.
