Yes, me and falling for fake twitter accounts and a dozen retweets.
Gotta read the fine print.
It would have been interesting. He can hit in our low obp, hi K sort of way.

Just out of curiosity, you're aware that OBP has been falling and K's have been up not just for the Sox, but for all of baseball in general, right? OBP's are at rates that the league hasn't seen since the 1980's and K's are at an all-time high. Offense in general has been regressing after a near 20-year expansion. Like, you get that every team is basically struggling with these same problems (admittedly, not as poorly as the Sox, but they still exist for many teams), right?

Okay - discount his obp 7-10 points due to "league trends" and he's still a classic low obp, power, high K, bad defense player, of which we have specialized. he had a nice year last year, but he scuffled as a failed prospect and his last year was really a couple of good months. Not the player I'd target.

BTW, people are saying that was a fake account, so I figured it was in the fine print, but I still can't discern that.

If it is indeed a fake account, it's an odd one. Looks to be often just tweeting links to Sherman's stories.
