De Rosa was a pretty good utility player.

Also, I didn't know Keith Moreland was fired. Doug Glanville would be a good analyst, I love his articles on ESPN.

He was promised Theo would deliver a World Series for him to call within three, no five, I mean seven, years.

He said he needs to get on with his life.

Moreland realized he was a terrible broadcaster and left on his own, unlike Santo who never realized he was a terrible broadcaster and stayed on the job at least in part to catapult the propaganda about him being Hall of Fame worthy.

Moreland on PBP made DJ sound like Vin Scully.

The only notable memory I have of Mark DeRosa's career is that when he was longterm injured with his wrist in a cast on the Giants DL, he swung a deal with Nuance to do local radio commercials for Dragon speech-recognition software, not having the ability to type.

I'm not sure screeching car tires or a screaming baby could make DJ sound like Vin Scully.

Ted Lilly plans to announce his retirement. He has been dealing with chronic neck pain for the past several seasons, but the condition became more severe in 2013. He recently had the nerve endings on the right side of his neck cauterized by a spine specialist.
