From ESPN:
Durham tests for kidney stones
Ray Durham spent all day on Aug. 4 in a hospital undergoing tests to see if he has kidney stones, Oakland-area newspapers reported Aug. 5. Durham's lower back pain, which made him miss the Aug. 4 game, was not kidney stones, according to test results. Trainer Larry Davis told the San Francisco Chronicle that Durham could be suffering from a kidney infection. "If you have one of those and get on an aircraft and it starts passing, it is extremely, extremely painful," Davis said. "We didn't want to put him on a plane with that hanging over our heads. You can do that when you are somewhere else. But if you are on an aircraft and get that sort of pain there is no medical help. That's not a good scenario." Durham probably will be put on antibiotics.
