I know it was the devil dogs, and we're just bad enough to win, blah blah blah.

But I was impressed by Jon today, after that first inning he settled down, whereas in the past he would have fallen apart. Even after he gave up the homer he struck out the side and gave up a walk to get out of it. After that he alowed only one baserunner on a walk in 6 innings. I hope this is the start of another string of quality starts for Jon, and into the future.

Garland has been good the last two starts now. Against MN Garland went 6 innings, 3 hits and 1 run with no decision. Now 7 innings, 3 hits and 1 run with no decision.

The D-Rays may not be that great of competition but the Twins certainly are, esp in the dome.

I'd like to see the rest of our pitchers finish out the season strong.

Not to mention the flat out of domination he had of the red sox, and I think he had a very strong start against the Yankees, but got an ND. I think that was during "the collapse"
