As much as I dislike the Red Sox, I'm still sure as hell gonna be rooting for him.

He wasn't here that long and really only had one good year, but I really liked him. He certainly gave the White Sox his all.

Your thread beat mine by a minute! Peavy certainly gave the White Sox his all and signed here during the off season because he felt he didn't live up to his last contract. I hope Peavy does well except when he pitches against us!

Thanks for coming back this offseason for less than you could have gotten in the open market. Thanks for the memories! Roll Tide!

While he didn't totally live up to the what we all thought he'd be when we acquired him, Peavy was quite a gamer, and fought back hard from all kinds of adversity.

Jake always gave the Sox everything he had, and I felt the Sox had a chance to win whenever he was on the mound. I'll miss him.

Best of luck to Jake with the Red Sox!

He got a lot of undue **** from the fans here, but he busted his ass for us regardless.

I will continue to cheer for Peavy while resisting the urge to vomit whenever I see him wearing a Red Sox uniform.

He appeared to always work hard and do his best. I never heard any kind of trouble with him. I liked him the more I saw him, he grew on me but just wish he didnt get hurt so darn much.

I know I'll miss him. A great competitor and well liked teammate. I wish him the best of luck unless he is facing the Sox.

One of the most intense pitchers out there. Never saw a guy who swore at himself more than Jake did.

Good luck to him in the future, once he gets away from Evil Empire II.

You will be missed, a great competitor. Would be nice if you get a ring but anywhere else but Boston.

Jake always fought hard and gave it his all. Can't fault him for that. It's too bad things didn't work out for us when he was here.

I'll be rooting for him, except when he pitches against the White Sox. Good luck in Boston, Jake!

At first, Peavy's reluctance to come here rubbed me the wrong way, but as I learned more about him, I really liked his competitiveness. I always wished he would have taken more of a leadership role on the team to fire some of these guys up, but that's hard to do when you're injured so much. Good luck, Jake.

Thanks for pitching well when healthy. Now that you're on the wrong Sox I hope your arm falls off.

Best of luck to Jake, especially with his health. Some of the weirdest injuries ever. I liked him and will miss him.
