Except maybe Rienzo.

With the Mets and Marlins currently tied in the 9th inning, the Sox for now have the same record as Miami at 40-64. Per CSN's Dan Hayes, the Sox haven't been 24 under .500 since 1987.

At least Rienzo only has to spend 2 months on the big team before going back to Brazil.

It feels like we are never going to win again.

Top draft pick heading our way though.

Rienzo getting taste of what it's like to be a White Sox pitcher in his debut. Good to break him in early.

May this be the first of many no decisions!

"Welcome to the Chicago White Sox! Here's your complimentary unearned runs."

Congrats to Andre Rienzo on terrific MLB debut, though.

Is Donnie Veal the best they can do?

Isn't it amazing to think this team was once 24-24?

Or that this time last year this team had a 76% chance of making the playoffs.

Who knew you could choke for 10 months?

They hit like '67 and field like '77.

I was told it was too early to see this coming.

To be fair, I don't think many of us saw *this* level of ineptitude coming.

It's like Dunn 2011, except the whole team now.

Notwithstanding Rongey's nonsensical speculation on the postgame show, Peavy will be traded. However, more trades than that need to be made by Wednesday afternoon's deadline.

I don't disagree, but I don't understand why people think anyone would want to give up anything for the crap that makes up this team.

:tiphat:That describes 2013 perfectly.

For now, yeah.

Part of rebuilding is having to watch veteran stopgaps who are just placeholders until you can develop or acquire somebody better.

I'm sure management knows Veal isn't the solution to anything. Guys like him and Troncoso will be long gone when the Sox return to contention.

You know you're going bad when in your fondest dreams you aspire to be "mediocre"--these guys are horrible.

The kid pitches well in his MLB debut, yay! But there's three unearned. But we rally and take him off the hook -- nice-- but then we give it up late.

I love the game and the Sox are my team. But they're just draining all the enjoyment out of it.
