For Nick Delmonico per Eduardo Encina (Orioles beat writer).
At least he didn't go to Detroit. Milwaukee took a pretty big risk with a guy as raw as Delmonico, but the upside definitely warrants it.

As a fantasy owner of Jim Henderson, I'm happy.

Not a bad pickup. Brewers trade a guy they signed to a Minor League deal in April and turned him into the Orioles #4/5 prospect by July. He's really, really raw, but it fills a hole(no real prospects at 3B for the brewers) and helps replenish the farm.

As a fantasy owner of Jim Henderson, I'm happy.

My wife's friend dated Jim a few months ago(no clue if they are still together), a seriously nice and down to earth guy. I hope he does well and gets a monster contract(he's been a career minor leaguer till about a year ago). I'd expect the Brewers to try to trade Axford and Gonzalez soon, so Henderson will get the bulk of the save opps.

No reason to believe Henderson won't be the go to guy for the Brewers. I have to believe that K-Rod had the job the last few weeks simply to showcase him. Henderson did great up until his DL stint. Circumstances were to blame here.

Nice pick up by Milwaukee. The guy has some power and is still learning.

+1, as the kids say. I hate the abbreviations.

At least this one is a play on the trend of first initial, first three letters of last name. The K part makes it a legit nickname in my view, compared to ARod, ManRam, IRod, etc.

They also wanted to give Rodriguez the opportunity to record his 300th save, which he did at the end of June.

With one or two exceptions, I have to look up these silly contracted names before I realize I know all about the player being talked about.
